The village Rukavac is located on the southside of
the island Vis and is
reachable by 9 km road that leads all the way to and
from the city of Vis. The City Vis is also reachable
by a ferry or hydro-boat from city Split. Since the
Village Rukavac has its own port and a small pier, it
is also reachable by sea.
The village Rukavac is a small community with mostly
independent apartment houses that are hidden under the
trees and palm trees. This part of the island Vis is
surounded by other small islands, and different types
of beaches. It also has a nude beach and other more
private beaches for all those that require more privacy.
Anywhere you go you can enjoy the warm sun, quietness
and listen to the sounds of the ocean. In other words
you can daydream on every step you make.
In Rukavac you can also find two restaurants, while
a grocery store is 2km north of Rukavac in the Village
Podstrazje. In the summer time, the village Rukavac
gets everyday visits from a convenient grocery store
on wheels that brings fresh fruits, vegetables and other
everyday things.

Vis is the capital city of the island Vis.
It is located 30 nautical miles from city Split and lies in
the inlet Sv. Jurij. From the archeological sites we can see
that the island Vis was populated in the artic times.
City Vis has two hotels, ISSA and TAMARIS, and many bars (konoba)
and restaurants with high quality seafood and dalmatia's food
menus.
Beside a major shopping mall, city Vis also has many other
small stores, vegetable and seafood markets, and local stores
that offer high quality local wines. city Vis also has a movie
theater, a stage for plays, tennis courts, basketball courts...
City Vis and its port is connected with a port of city Split
on a daily basis, while during a summer times there is also
a ferry connection with Italian cities Ancona and Bari.

This small city that is known for his fishing
tradition is located on the western side of the island Vis
and is surrounded by the ocean on one side and the tallest
mountain Hum on the other side. Beside the hotel BISEVO, which
has its own sand beach, city komiza has many other small private
beaches. The city Komiza has a strong fishing tradition is
visible if you visit its fishing museum where you will see
many fishing equipment and a boat called 'FALKUSA'.
From Komiza you can also take a cruise ship that will take
you straight to the island Bisevo where you will be able to
see the world famous blue lagoon called Modra Spilja.
You can spend your day in Komiza scuba diving, parachute jumping,
swimming, or you can watch a sunset from one of the many local
restaurant in area called 'RIVA'.
